In addition to the groups there are city wide homeschool events planned each month. Here is the information. These days are open to any homeschooler in the Valley and it is a great way to meet people and see what groups fit your needs.

Mark your calendars for the annual NHN Homeschool Conference. This will be a great chance to meet homeschoolers, review curriculum, and see what is out there for you in the Las Vegas area.

Skymania Citywide  

Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Dates: This event repeats every month on the second Friday.
Location: 4915 Steptoe Street Henderson
$5 per jumper. This is a citywide homeschool event so lots of different groups come.

Weekly PE 

Time: 11:00 am-1:00 pm
Dates: This event repeats every Friday.
Location: Silver Mesa Recreation Center-North Las Vegas, Allen/Alexander
Subject to rec center closings. Informal play indoor gymnasium. Kids cooperatively put on games, or gather in small groups to play whatever they want!  One time fee of $3 for kids over 6.

Homeschool Skate  

Time: 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Dates: This event repeats every month on the third Friday until Tuesday March 25, 2008.
Location: Crystal Palace on Rancho
Cost: $5 per skater, includes skate rental (you may also rent inline/hockey skates for an additional $5, or bring your own inlines for free)
Plan to remain at the skating rink with your children of ALL ages.


Skate Night in Henderson

Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Dates: This event repeats every month on the second Monday.

Bounce U City Wide Homeschool Day

Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Dates: This event repeats every month on the last Thursday.

Open to all jumpers up to age 18. Parents must stay. Parents are free and can jump with the kids. Release is required. You can print one out ahead of time at the website. No food allowed except water bottles. They have water fountains. Jumpers need to wear socks. No shoes allowed on the equipment.
Cost: $5. Parents and non-walking infants are FREE. This allows them to jump all day.
